It's hard not to go overboard with spending during the holiday season but possible. This year my fam decided to avoid the gift exchange to help save money. I have to say my largest expenses have always been for holiday parties... last minute bottle of wine for the host, new dress/shoes/jewelry/handbag, cab fare, and etc. All those little cost start to add up.

And regulations are like levies: meant to channel the river in a positive healthy direction without restriction. But of course they are also there - in case the "river" becomes too polluted and swollen with arrogance and greed - to protect the public from those with no morals or scruples.

Peace.

(*SIGH*) Mr. TML,

I am deeply dis-heartened to hear yet you too jumping on the rundown and worn out band wagon of "Wall Street 'Greed'".

Capitalism is like a mighty river. When a large rock falls in it, does the river stop in it's course? Heck no! It finds a way around it and keeps going. That's what a free market and creative thinking breeds.

And, just like a mighty river, if you do totally block the river's flow, guess what happens to all those things downstream that count on the water flow?
