After I helped my mother sell her home/find a retirement community in Maryland last spring, I started a blog to share "lessons learned". Top lesson learned is to be proactive in search and planning well before a crisis situation hits. Things worked out great for my mom and she is thriving and happy at Fairhaven Retirement Community (Sykesville,MD), but the outcome could have easily been quite negative. Thanks for your writing.
