After I helped my mother sell her home/find a retirement community in Maryland last spring, I started a blog to share &quot;lessons learned&quot;.  Top lesson learned is to be proactive in search and planning well before a crisis situation hits.  Things worked out great for my mom and she is thriving and happy at Fairhaven Retirement Community (Sykesville,MD), but the outcome could have easily been quite negative.
